This compass is ideal for plate work and has several functions:



- Cutting circles of various diameters

- Cutting strips to desired width

- Cutting circular arcs



A cutting head is fixed to the end of the axis, while another cutting head and the center point are removable. You can therefore use :



- 2 cutting heads: clay strip

- 1 cutting head + center point = clay circle

- 2 cutting heads + center point = clay arc



The removable parts can be adjusted to the desired size and fixed in place with a wooden key. This whistle-like part applies pressure to lock the tool in place.



With a 25 cm-long axis, it is possible to cut circles of almost 50 cm in diameter and strips of almost 25 cm in width.



This highly versatile tool is therefore an ideal companion for modeling, and will save you a lot of time and precision if you use our molds to make cups or plates.
